A strong password can be memorable to you but nearly impossible for someone else to guess. Follow the below tips to ensure you have a strong password on Squirt.org:
- Use a password manager, don’t trust the 'remember password' function in your browser
- Don’t reuse passwords, or simply change one character of the password for different sites. This makes your password easier to guess.
- Do not use pets, people, places, events, etc.
- Do not use adjacent keyboard strings. eg. qwerty1234 is not a secure password.
- Do not bunch special characters (?!@, etc.) at the beginning or end of your password
- Against popular belief, changing your password too frequently will lead to bad habits that make passwords weaker and easier to guess.
