If you no longer want to use the Squirt app, there are a few different options of removal, depending on what you’d like to do.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
- Uninstall the app if you only want to remove Squirt from your phone or tablet, but keep your account and continue using Squirt.org on your internet browser.
- Deactivate your profile if you want to take a break and become inactive without permanently removing your account.
- Delete your account only if you want to permanently remove your profile and data.
It’s important to know that uninstalling the app, deactivating your profile, and deleting your account are not the same thing.
Uninstalling the app
If you uninstall the Squirt app from your device, this will only remove the app from your phone or tablet.
Your Squirt account, profile, messages, and membership will still remain active unless you choose to delete your account separately.

Deactivating your account?
If you’re not sure you want to leave Squirt for good, you may want to deactivate your profile instead of deleting it.
Deactivating can be a better option if you:
- want to step away for a while
- don’t want to be visible right now
- may want to come back later

Deleting your account
If you choose to delete your account, your Squirt profile and account data will be permanently removed.
This is different from uninstalling the app. If you want to permanently delete your account via the app, you can do so by clicking on the hamburger icon (3 lines or dots) to open up the menu. Navigate to Account Settings >>> then choose Account Management >>> then choose Delete My Account.
